CMWU has carried out maintenance works at Abu Samra Desalination Plant in Deir Al-Balah, located near the Yellow Line, to ensure its continued operation and maintain water supply to residents in the area, amid the difficult humanitarian conditions and significant challenges facing families in accessing water.
The plant has a production capacity of approximately 10 cubic meters of water per day, helping meet part of residents’ water needs and improve their access to water.
It is worth noting that CMWU teams continue to carry out maintenance works at several desalination plants located within residential neighborhoods and displacement camps, despite limited resources and shortages of spare parts. These efforts aim to provide residents and displaced people with the minimum possible amount of drinking water and ensure the continuity of essential services under the current circumstances.
